1987年出生于湖南长沙，2009年本科毕业于广州美术学院油画系，2013年硕士毕业于湖南师范大学，2015年毕业于中央美术学院进修班。现工作和生活于长沙。
陈牧甜独特的语言和表达灵感，来源于长沙马王堆出土的帛书，通过油画、形色各异的布匹与综合材料以及新媒体和装置等媒介与形式，艺术家努力寻找着一种专属的思维和传达方式，试图为生活在现实生活中的人们创造一个能忘却烦恼且充满奇趣的内心景观。
