Born in Düsseldorf and studied philosophy, German and history. Author, essayist, organizer of exhibitions and interviews, and co-founder of the collective Eyes of the Collective, formed in 2010 to advance knowledge of "collective practice" through exhibitions, symposia, and a series of dialogue books. In 2018, together with Dominque Garaudel, Luis Nuo and Zandie Brockett, in cooperation with the Goethe-Institut and the Institut Francais, he organized the internationally oriented symposium on the topic "Group Subjectivity and Aesthetics under Cultural Differences" in the CAFA Museum, Beijing, at the artist collective, philosophers, exhibition organizers from China, Europe, South and North America participated. He has had teaching assignments at various art academies, including the State Art Academy in Dusseldorf, TAFA (Tianjin) and CAFA (Beijing) and in 2018 curated the first retrospective of Liu Xiaodong in two Düsseldorf museums simultaneously, and in the same year a solo exhibition by JichangYang at Galerie Setareh and in 2019 the first exhibition of Tong Kunniao in Germany.
