1987年生于香港,是一名艺术家,策展人及制作人。林氏过去曾担任了亚洲领先的当代艺术中心Para Site的总制作人及助理策展人。近年积极参与独立策展工作,与不同的艺术及专业单位合作,制作出多个展览和研讨会。于2015年策划了展覧《如果只有城籍而没有国籍》,引起了大众以个人身份超越国界的关注。
林氏在香港浸会大学视觉艺术院学士毕业,并于2013年取得久负盛名的香港艺术奖。林氏喜欢透过中国文化的视角,探索视觉文化及现代城市的发展。他结合中国传统水墨画和当代城市景观的元素,合成一种超越东西两极的视觉表达手法。通过他的作品,林氏经常尝试创造一个空间,邀请观众在不同的时间性中重新审视自己生活的日常情景和事件。 2016年初被富比士选为 30 under 30 Asia 艺术介别的其中一员。林氏现居于及工作在香港。
Born in 1987 in Hong Kong, he is an artist, curator, producer and former Head of Production and Associate Curator at Para Site, one of the leading independent art institutions in Asia. Actively participating in curatorial work in recent years, Lam has produced numerous exhibitions and conferences. In 2015, Lam had curated an exhibition Imagine there’s no country, Above us only our cities which attracted much acclaim with its query of individual identity beyond the boundary of nation.
Lam trained at Academy of Visual Arts, Hong Kong Baptist University and won the prestigious Hong Kong Art Prize in 2013. Lam’s paintings and installation works explore visual culture and the evolution of modernity by combining elements of classical Chinese paintings and contemporary cityscapes into visual presentations that transcend the polarity of East and West. His works have been widely collected by private collectors and institutions. From early 2016, Lam is being listed under the Forbes 30 under 30 Asia, Art and Style section. Lam currently lives and works in Hong Kong.
