1972 年生于河南，于 1995 年毕业于中央民族大学油画专业，2008 年硕士毕业于德国卡塞尔艺术学院自由绘画专业，2009 年毕业于德国卡塞尔艺术学院自由绘画专业大师班，德鲁特·冯·温特海姆工作室，目前生活工作于北京和柏林。
徐赫的艺术创作中既沿袭了中国一贯的传统艺术风格细节，同时又在展示西式的表现语言，东西方文化通过其作品显现惊人的一致性，同时也以此使两种文化贯穿艺术形式抵达相互认知的彼岸。徐赫的作品曾多次在海内外展出，包括何香凝美术馆、炎黄美术馆、今日美术馆、德国卡塞尔文献馆、弗里德里希美术馆、北京当代艺术馆等。
