1989年生于中国河南省，现生活和工作于杭州。后考入中国美术学院壁画艺术系漆艺工作室，师从唐明修教授，学习漆艺。因为漆艺对于技艺的要求很高，在本科至研究生阶段也基本以扎实基础为主，而从研究生的后半阶段开始独立的艺术创作。段一凡于2015年取得中国美术学院中国漆艺术专业硕士学位。
Born in Henan, China in 1989, currently lives and works in Hangzhou. In 2015, Duan obtained his Master’s Degree in Chinese Lacquer Art from The China Academy of Art, in the class of renowned artist, Professor Tang Mingxiu. Mastering lacquer art requires high level of skills, Duan has spent years to build up a strong foundation during his education and started independent artist creation in the second half of the pursuit of his Master’s Degree.
