1993年出⽣于云南昆明，2017年毕业于芝加哥艺术学院，获学⼠学位，⽬前⼯作⽣活于上海。
贾卉的绘画与雕塑创作直接运⽤形、⾊、线、质地和体积等基础元素指涉宇宙万物的概念，构成不同的抽象空间以及空间切片，作品反映了艺术家在空⽩画布上对于“⽆中⽣有”的理解。尤其通过绘画实践，艺术家检验并探索了空无之间的碰撞，即兴发生，直觉的以及理性的各种姿势互相渗透和抑制所产生的全新图像。她相信绘画媒介内部的绘画永不消亡，依旧涵着它诗意的空间。
Born in 1993 in Kunming, Yunnan. She graduated from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago with a BFA in 2017 and currently lives and works in Shanghai.
Jia Hui’s practice explores sections of abstract apparatuses constructed with formal elements, such as shape, color, line texture and volume in painting and sculpture. By creating metaphorical forms that resonate with existing entities of the universe, Jia’s practice manifests the understanding of “create something from nothing.” In particular, through her painting, the artist examines and explores how instant, intuitive and logical gestures collide, penetrate and restrain into visually poetic and unprecedented images of the void.
