Born in Sheboygan, Wisconsin in 1979, he received a BFA from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 2002, an MFA in painting from the State University of New York at Albany in 2012, and a painting scholarship from the New York Academy of Art in 2015. Currently lives in Troy, New York.
