1969年生于福建漳州。自幼接受传统书法训练和广泛的文史阅读，在家乡追随郑玉水先生等学习书法篆刻。1988年就读于浙江美院读版画系，1992年毕业于浙江美术学院版画系，现任中央美术学院实验艺术学院院长及教授、中国美术学院跨媒体艺术学院教授。现工作生活于北京和杭州。
Born in Zhangzhou, Fujian in 1969. He received traditional calligraphy training and extensive literature and history reading since childhood, and learned calligraphy and seal cutting from Mr. Zheng Yushui in his hometown. He studied at the Printmaking Department of Zhejiang Academy of Fine Arts in 1988 and graduated from the Printmaking Department of Zhejiang Academy of Fine Arts in 1992. He is currently the dean and professor of the School of Experimental Art of the Central Academy of Fine Arts and a professor of the School of Intermedia Art of the China Academy of Art. Currently works and lives in Beijing and Hangzhou.
