1996年出生于成都，2020年本科毕业于马里兰艺术学院，2023年硕士毕业于伦敦皇家艺术学院油画系，现工作生活于伦敦。在多元文化语境下，油画成为剖析并展示文字与图像局限的理想媒介，冉宇宵通过将图像脱离原有语境并无序重组，构建出混乱现实主义的画面，挑战和颠覆对图像符号的习惯性阅读。这一过程不仅揭示了符号间的逻辑断层，也引发观者思考其背后的故事。作品中的图像源自他的生活，并尽量保留原貌，以捕捉文化与环境变化的线索。
Born in Chengdu in 1996, he graduated from the Maryland Institute College of Art in 2020 with an undergraduate degree and the Royal College of Art in London in 2023 with a master's degree in oil painting, and now lives and works in London. In a multicultural context, oil painting has become an ideal medium for dissecting and demonstrating the limitations of words and images. Ran Yuxiao constructs chaotic realism by reorganizing the images out of their original contexts and in a disorderly manner, challenging and subverting the habitual reading of pictorial symbols. This process not only reveals the logical faults between the symbols, but also provokes the viewer to think about the stories behind them. The images in his works originate from his life and are preserved as much as possible in order to capture the clues of cultural and environmental changes.
