1983 年出生于上海，2009 年毕业于中国美术学院油画系，获硕士学位。他擅长使用木板坦培拉绘画，在传统技法的控制力与画面情境的自由诙谐中取得独特的平衡。同时，他也广泛涉猎水墨、水彩、黏土雕塑等多种绘画媒介，在艺术创作形式的多样性中形成独树一帜的艺术风格。他的作品曾多次在北京、上海、深圳等地展览，并被中华艺术宫，浙江美术馆，军事博物馆等机构收藏。
颜秉卿并不是一个抛头露面型的艺术家，他适合混入人群，在拥挤街巷里如侦探般娴熟尾随，或躲在廉价小旅馆里拨开窗帘一角以望远镜窥视，而他尾随或窥视的对象，是一切可拼接为艺术的料子——荒诞的世情、非凡的瞬间、别扭的姿势，艺术史上的典故以及他自己脑子里那些随时生灭的怪力乱神的念头。他带着游戏的好奇和热情，把世间百态也变成了游戏，让观者由表及里，坠入古与今、虚与实的迷宫，去找寻那些或轻或重的谜底。
Born in Shanghai in 1983, he graduated from the Oil Painting Department of China Academy of Art in 2009 with a master's degree. He is good at using tempera painting on wood, achieving a unique balance between the control of traditional techniques and the freedom and humor of the picture situation. At the same time, he also dabbles in a variety of painting media such as ink, watercolor, and clay sculpture, forming a unique artistic style in the diversity of artistic creation forms. His works have been exhibited many times in Beijing, Shanghai, Shenzhen and other places, and have been collected by institutions such as the China Art Museum, Zhejiang Art Museum, and the Military Museum.
Yan Bingqing is not an artist who shows up in the spotlight. He is suitable for blending into the crowd, following like a detective in crowded streets, or hiding in cheap hotels and peeping through a telescope by pulling open a corner of the curtain. The objects he follows or peeks at are all materials that can be spliced into art - absurd worldly affairs, extraordinary moments, awkward postures, allusions in art history, and those weird and supernatural thoughts in his own mind that are born and die at any time. With his curiosity and passion for games, he turned the world into a game, allowing viewers to go from the outside to the inside, fall into a maze of ancient and modern times, reality and illusion, in search of answers to mysteries that are either light or heavy.
