丁乙 Ding Yi ( b.1962 )

1962年出生于上海，被认为是中国抽象派画家的领军人物。创作领域包括绘画、雕塑、空间装置和建筑。从80年代后期开始，他将视觉符号“十”字以及变体的“X”作为结构和理性的代表，以及反映事物本质的图像表现的代名词。

Born in Shanghai in 1962, is considered a leading figure of Chinese abstract painters. His creative fields include painting, sculpture, spatial installations, and architecture. Starting in the late 1980s, he used the visual symbol "ten" and the variant "X" as a representative of structure and rationality, as well as a pronoun for the image representation that reflects the essence of things.
