1981年出生于广东，生活工作于北京、广州。先后就读于广州美术学院、法国巴黎学院，现为中国艺术研究院油画院特聘画家、教师。
他致力于色与域、形与体、光与影的绘画语言研究和个人化表达，把空间与人放置在当代的生活与景观之中；在具象与抽象之间，图像与叙事之间，构成了一种超越现实的视觉叙事。其作品呈现出静谧而疏离的视觉，将当代人对关系的渴望、恐惧和冲突隐蔽在平衡的构图中，形成广义的自我观照与情感投射。
born in Guangdong in 1981. He studied at the Guangzhou Academy of Fine Arts and later at the Paris Academy in France. Currently, he is a distinguished painter and teacher at The Chinese Academy of Oil Painting, living and working in Beijing and Guangzhou.
He is devoted to the study of painting language in terms of color and domain, form and structure, light and shadow, and personal expression. Xu places space and humanity within contemporary life and landscapes. In the interplay between representation and abstraction, image and narrative, he constructs a narrative that transcends reality. His works present a serene and distant visual experience, concealing within balanced compositions the desires, fears, and conflicts of contemporary individuals in their relationships. This results in a broad self-reflection and emotional projection.
