1963年⽣于湖北⻩⽯，现⼯作⽣活于北京。是国内最早开展⾏为艺术创作的⼀批艺术家。1995年⾄2002年刘港顺在⻩⽯开办了⽴书店“后⼈类书店”，对当时的⽂艺⻘年产⽣了很⼤的⽂化影响。从“后⼈类书店”开始，刘港顺的创作⽅式产⽣了极⼤的变化，他深受阅读和知识经验的影响，从中国的艺术流派运动中退出，转向对知识⽂本，历史图像，艺术事件的个体编译和叙述。收集各种⽂本，信息、结合⾃⼰的⽇常⽣活经验，从中选择图像和⺟题构成了他绘画语⾔的⼀部分。他⼤多数作品都可以归为＂元绘画＂实践，在绘画中尝试了多种可⻅或不可⻅的⾃我指涉机制。
Born in Huangshi, Hubei Province in 1963, Living and working in Beijing. He is one of the earliest artists in China to engage in performance art creation. From 1995 to 2002, Liu Gangshun operated an independent bookstore called the "Post-Human Bookstore" in Huangshi, which had a significant cultural influence on the literary and artistic youth at the time. Starting from the "PostHuman Bookstore" Liu Gangshun's creative approach underwent significant changes. Influenced by reading and Knowledge experiences, he withdrew from China's art genre movements and shifted towards individual compilation and narration of knowledge texts, historical images,and artistic events. By collecting various texts and information and combining them with his own daily life experiences, he selected images and themes to constitute part of his painting language. Most of his works can be classified as "meta-painting" practices, in which he experimented with various visible or invisible self-referential mechanisms within painting.
