当代艺术家，画家，“中国70后杰出代表艺术家之一”。1977年生于中国内蒙古，目前生活工作于中国北京。毕业于中央美术学院油画系，中央美术 学院油画系第三工作室客座教师，N12艺术团体的发起及组建人之一。
作品以绘画为主，同时结合了音乐现场、MusicVideo、装置等方式。透过捕捉描绘不同的形象、真实或超现实的瞬间，宋琨的创作展现出个体瑰丽隐秘的私人世界对变化中的中国特有的反映和关照。在现实主义绘画的基础上，宋琨的作品融入了更多冥想与心理内省的气质，并尝试将绘画语言及视觉系统结合中国传统绘画留白与空性的美学观，为中国当代绘画在全球化的语境里提供了本土力量新的可能性。宋琨的作品一直蕴涵着一个重要的概念: “意识流式的叙事”及“潜意识的暂停与通感”，这是 她创作的重要特点，也是对中国东方美学的传承。她从不试图提供任何固定符号或观念，而是为命题“如何感受生活赋予的经验认知与丰富情感”提出了现阶段中国独立的样本。近年来宋琨的创作步入了一个新的阶段 ，实验性地将当代亚文化及宗教元素与其创作系统相融合，形成了更加贴近她个人气质的独特样本。

Graduated from the Oil Painting Department of the Central Academy of Fine Arts, a visiting teacher in the Third Studio of the Oil Painting Department of the Central Academy of Fine Arts, and one of the initiators and founders of the N12 art group.
The works are mainly paintings, but also combine live music, MusicVideo, installation and other methods. By capturing and depicting different images, real or surreal moments, Song Kun's creations show the unique reflection and care of the changing China from the individual's magnificent and secret private world. On the basis of realist painting, Song Kun's works incorporate a more meditative and psychological introspection temperament, and try to combine the painting language and visual system with the aesthetics of blank space and emptiness in traditional Chinese painting, providing a new foundation for contemporary Chinese painting. The context of globalization provides new possibilities for local power. Song Kun's works have always contained an important concept: "stream-of-consciousness narrative" and "subconscious pause and synaesthesia". This is an important feature of her creation and the inheritance of Chinese oriental aesthetics. She never attempts to provide any fixed symbols or concepts, but instead proposes an independent sample of China at this stage for the proposition "How to feel the experiential cognition and rich emotions given by life". In recent years, Song Kun's creation has entered a new stage, experimentally integrating contemporary subculture and religious elements into her creative system, forming a unique sample that is closer to her personal temperament.
