生于2001年，毕业于中央美术学院附中，就读于中央美术学院油画系第五工作室。
对刘钰飞来说，绘画是图像的无尽生产。源源不断地提取、混合、组合、剪切来自历史的观念、图表、程式与元素: 细密画与山水、对立式平衡与舞者的动态线条、回文诗与藏传佛教的图像志、诸如此类，并将它们重构为综合性的单元:几何形体、姿态线条、 特定颜色，且由此演绎出一个个局部的情境。其中，构图 (design) 意味着综合性的单元在画面上的布置: 其相对于背景的自由运动与绽放，以及一种彼此之间严格乃至程序化的关系。这是他绘画的方向: 并不是在对文化符号的繁复挪用中抵达身份的故乡，又或某个认同的终点。而是要在图像的沟壑与符号的星丛中充满活力地舞蹈——也许，一个新的空间将得以在舞蹈的无穷姿势中诞生，并在严格的绘画程序中得以延展、扩张。

For Liu Yufei, painting is the endless production of images. Continuously extract, mix, combine and cut out concepts, diagrams, formulas and elements from history: miniature paintings and chinese landscapes, contrapposto and dancers' dynamic lines, palindrome poems and Tibetan Buddhist iconography, etc. , and reconstruct them into comprehensive units: geometric shapes, posture lines, specific colors, and thereby deduce local situations. Among them, composition (design) means the arrangement of comprehensive units on the picture: their free movement and blooming relative to the background, and a strict and even programmed relationship between them. This is the direction of his painting: it is not to reach the hometown of identity or the end of a certain identity through the complicated appropriation of cultural symbols. Rather, it is about dancing energetically among the ravines of images and the constellations of symbols - perhaps, a new space will be born in the infinite gestures of dance, and extended and expanded through strict painting procedures.
