1956年生于中国四川，1971年进藏从事宣传创作。1978年考入四川美术学院油画系，1982 年毕业后返藏工作，同年创办西藏首届美术训练班，是上世纪 80 年代西藏最重要的艺术家之一。后获“美中文化教育交流基金会”全额奖学金，作为访问学者，就读于纽约州立大学艺术系。现居北京、纽约。2001 年，美国纽约曼哈顿亚洲文化中心曾为其举办“裴庄欣西藏油画作品个人展 "；其作品收藏于西藏美术馆、罗丹国际艺术家基金会等机构。
Born in Sichuan, China in 1956, he went to Tibet in 1971 to engage in propaganda creation. In 1978, he was admitted to the Oil Painting Department of Sichuan Fine Arts Institute. After graduation in 1982, he returned to Tibet to work. In the same year, he founded the first art training class in Tibet. He was one of the most important artists in Tibet in the 1980s. Later, he received a full scholarship from the "US-China Cultural and Educational Exchange Foundation" and studied at the Department of Art of the State University of New York as a visiting scholar. He currently lives in Beijing and New York. In 2001, the Manhattan Asian Cultural Center in New York, USA, held a "Pei Zhuangxin Tibetan Oil Paintings Personal Exhibition" for him; his works are collected by the Tibet Art Museum, Rodin International Artists Foundation and other institutions.
