林海钟 Lin Haizhong ( b.1968 )

号卧霞散人、钱塘后来生、林泉阁主人,1968 年生于浙江杭州,1986 年考入中国美术学院中国画系;1990 年于中国美术学院中国画系,本科毕业,保送攻读硕士研究生学位;1991 年获首届中国美术学院“潘天寿奖学金”;1993 年获中国美术学院国画系硕士学位并留校任教。1997-1999 年任中国美术学院中国画系山水教研室主任;2000 年攻读博士学位,成为首届中国画六博士之一;2010 年担任博士生导师。现为中国美术学院中国画系教授/博士生导师、浙江山水画研究会会长。林海钟年少成名,画艺精进,作品涉及山水、人物、花鸟、书法等,题材甚广,主张国画以笔墨为宗,以书入画传承古意,为今人所用,提倡文人画风,并认为以画悟道是国画的至高境界,曾参加新文人画运动,为当今学院派画家代表。其作品水墨画萧散简淡,极具禅意。赋色之作艳丽古雅,传承唐宋遗意。


Born in Hangzhou, Zhejiang in 1968, he was admitted to the Chinese Painting Department of China Academy of Art in 1986. He graduated from the Chinese Painting Department of China Academy of Art in 1990 and was recommended to study for a master's degree. In 1991, he won the first "Pan Tianshou Scholarship" of China Academy of Art. In 1993, he received a master's degree from the Chinese Painting Department of China Academy of Art and stayed on to teach. From 1997 to 1999, he served as the director of the Landscape Teaching and Research Office of the Chinese Painting Department of China Academy of Art. In 2000, he studied for a doctorate and became one of the first six doctors of Chinese painting. In 2010, he served as a doctoral supervisor. He is currently a professor/doctoral supervisor of the Chinese Painting Department of China Academy of Art and the president of the Zhejiang Landscape Painting Research Association. Lin Haizhong became famous at a young age and his painting skills are advanced. His works cover landscapes, figures, flowers and birds, calligraphy, etc., with a wide range of subjects. He advocates that Chinese painting should be based on brush and ink, and that calligraphy should be used in painting to inherit the ancient meaning for modern people. He advocates the literati painting style and believes that enlightenment through painting is the highest realm of Chinese painting. He has participated in the new literati painting movement and is a representative of academic painters today. His ink paintings are simple and elegant, with a strong sense of Zen. His colored works are gorgeous and elegant, inheriting the legacy of the Tang and Song dynasties.
