1957 年生于中国重庆，1982 年毕业于四川美术学院版画系，同年开始研习水彩。中国美术家协会会员，亦是川美水彩专业的奠基者之一。龚玉擅于捕捉市井民俗中的烟火气息，从茶馆系列到静物花卉，以清新如诗的艺术语言呈现生活灵光。其作品收藏于浙江美术馆、湖南美术馆等机构。曾参加第七届中国水彩画大展，获银奖；第十一届全国美展，作品《冰川下的锅庄》入选。
Born in Chongqing, China in 1957, she graduated from the Printmaking Department of Sichuan Fine Arts Institute in 1982 and began to study watercolor in the same year. She is a member of the Chinese Artists Association and one of the founders of Sichuan Fine Arts Institute's watercolor major. Gong Yu is good at capturing the atmosphere of fireworks in the folk customs of the market. From the teahouse series to still life flowers, she presents the aura of life with a fresh and poetic artistic language. Her works are collected by institutions such as Zhejiang Art Museum and Hunan Art Museum. She participated in the 7th China Watercolor Exhibition and won the silver medal; her work "冰川下的锅庄" was selected in the 11th National Art Exhibition.
