辉县人。毕业于河南开封师范学院中文系。曾任辉县文化馆馆长，副研究员。1968年开始从事摄影工作，1980年加入河南省摄影家协会。2018获河南省第五届摄影金像奖终身成就奖。
其摄影作品主要全面完整记录上世纪六七十年代辉县全民性，拓荒造田、开山筑路、兴修水利、以及当时政治学习、五小工业和群众生产生活等场景。 摄影作品在《人民画报》、《中国摄影》、《人民中国》和全国、省内外报刊发表，数百幅作品参加全国农业、水利、交通、林业、民族以及出国展览等。
A native of Huixian, Henan Province. He graduated from the Chinese Department of Kaifeng Normal College and served as Director and Associate Researcher of the Huixian Cultural Center. He began his photography career in 1968 and joined the Henan Photographers Association in 1980. In 2018, he was awarded the Lifetime Achievement Award at the 5th Henan Golden Statue Photography Awards.
Zhou’s photographic work comprehensively documented collective campaigns in Huixian during the 1960s–70s, including land reclamation, mountain road construction, hydraulic engineering, political study sessions, small-scale industries (“Five Small Industries”), and daily labor. His photographs were published in People’s Pictorial, Chinese Photography, People’s China, and other national and provincial publications. Hundreds of his works were exhibited in national and international shows on agriculture, hydraulics, transportation, forestry, and ethnic themes.
