安徽安庆人。少年时代师从孙多慈学习美术。曾任中央美院油画系教研室主任，油画系研究生班主任、教授，中国美术家协会会员。作品有油画《模范饲养员》等被中国美术馆、军事博物馆等收藏。
Born in Anqing, Anhui. Studied art under Sun Duoci in his youth. Served as Director of the Oil Painting Department of the Central Academy of Fine Arts, Head Teacher and Professor of the Graduate School of the Oil Painting Department, and a member of the Chinese Artists Association. His works include the oil painting "模范饲养员", which is collected by the National Art Museum of China and the Military Museum.
