唐蕴玉作品是以印象主义的形式语言为基础，同时又采用了表现主义的部分手法，常以抒情性的景物为创作对象，画风洗练酣畅，并无柔弱娇妩之感。她的油画创作主要受到西方印象派、后印象派以及表现主义画风的影响，既不事大幅度的变形和抽象，也不似学院派式的写实主义，而是在坚持现代主义探索的同时，深谙西方传统绘画之真谛，尤其是对印象派绘画研究有素，并与当时的许多西画家一样，她对中国传统绘画发生兴趣，将表现和写意的手法和意境融会贯通，由此形成了一种造型坚实、设色强烈，而又略具有和谐浑厚、清新委婉的艺术风格。新近发现的唐蕴玉作品《庙宇的后院》和《瓶花》一批难得之作，证明了这位才华横溢的女画家独特的风格特色。在景物和静物的光色变化处理之间，糅合了色彩和图形的主观体现，增加了对象的诗意表现。

Tang Yunyu's works are based on the formal language of impressionism, and also adopt some techniques of expressionism. She often uses lyrical scenes as the subject of creation. Her painting style is refined and smooth, without any sense of weakness and charm. Her oil painting creation is mainly influenced by the Western impressionism, post-impressionism and expressionism. She does not engage in large-scale deformation and abstraction, nor is she like academic realism. Instead, while adhering to the exploration of modernism, she is well versed in the true meaning of Western traditional painting, especially in the study of impressionist painting. Like many Western painters at that time, she became interested in traditional Chinese painting, integrating the techniques and artistic conception of expression and freehand brushwork, thus forming an artistic style with solid modeling, strong colors, and a slightly harmonious, thick, fresh and euphemistic style. The recently discovered rare works of Tang Yunyu, "庙宇的后院" and "瓶花", prove the unique style of this talented female painter. The changes in light and color of scenery and still life are combined with the subjective expression of color and graphics, increasing the poetic expression of the object.
