中国现代主义艺术社团“决澜社”的参与者，更是“中华独立美术协会”的创建者。1930年代，梁锡鸿与赵兽、李东平等独立美协同仁们，通过办展览、编报刊多种形式，引进野兽主义、超现实主义等前卫画风，足迹遍布东京、香港、广州、上海、南京等，打破了国内艺术界的沉闷僵局。创作之外，梁锡鸿不遗余力的介绍西方现代派艺术，所撰写的文章广泛发表在《艺风》、《良友》、《艺术周刊》、《建国日报》等报纸和杂志上，成为活跃在西画创作与理论研究前沿的一位艺术家。作为艺术家的梁锡鸿，除了公认的水彩画成就，其作为中国早期前卫艺术家的传奇经历，同样被人铭记。
A participant of the Chinese modernist art society "决澜社" and the founder of the "China Independent Art Association". In the 1930s, Liang Xihong and his colleagues in the Independent Art Association, such as Zhao Shou and Li Dongping, introduced avant-garde painting styles such as Fauvism and Surrealism through exhibitions and newspapers. Their footprints spread across Tokyo, Hong Kong, Guangzhou, Shanghai, Nanjing, etc., breaking the dull deadlock in the domestic art world. In addition to his creations, Liang Xihong spared no effort to introduce Western modernist art. His articles were widely published in newspapers and magazines such as "艺风", "良友", "艺术周刊", and "建国日报", making him an artist active in the forefront of Western painting creation and theoretical research. As an artist, Liang Xihong, in addition to his recognized achievements in watercolor painting, is also remembered for his legendary experience as an early Chinese avant-garde artist.
