Born in 2000 in Beijing, he graduated from Chelsea College of Art and Design, currently pursuing a Master’s degree at the Slade School of Fine Art, University College London.Tian Shunyu is an interdisciplinary artist, image maker, and researcher.

Tian’s practice often transforms complex natural phenomena—such as the internal structures of tornadoes or the phase transitions of matter—into poetic visual narratives.
In his creative process, cartography plays a central role, serving as both a conceptual tool and an aesthetic foundation. Through this approach, Tian constructs visual frameworks that blend chaos and order, examining how individuals and objects move, resist, or succumb within large-scale natural events.
