方贤晨 Fang Xianchen ( b.1994 )

1994年出生新疆,2016年本科毕业于中央美术学院油画系,2019年硕士毕业于中央美术学院油画系,现工作生活于北京。

方贤晨的作品所呈现的画面并非是沉默的,而是欲言又止的。描绘“场景”的作品是关于空间结构,画面正是艺术家在日常生活中的场景,将与自己密切相关的事物即时入画。在这里,方贤晨并不是享受手工绘画性的个人志趣而去描绘固定场面中的细节,而是可以发现根植于日常生活中的创作。他营造出一种与空间的疏离感和张力,超现实的手法制造出了画面的不安,悬念、隐喻以及梦境式的不稳定,作品会给人一种难以言喻的气氛,画面中的世界与真实分割,眼前看到的是近乎现实的空间,但艺术家表达出了脱离现实之外的现实,在这个空间中没有纪实,更多是对于时间的想象以及深度的直视。方贤晨的作品有细腻的隐喻,也同样具有单刀直入式的语言,通过精神性的折射去自省和自察,从而找到新的自我、新的身份。


Born in Xinjiang in 1994, he graduated from the Oil Painting Department of the Central Academy of Fine Arts in 2016 and graduated from the Oil Painting Department of the Central Academy of Fine Arts in 2019. He currently works and lives in Beijing.

The pictures presented in Fang Xianchen's works are not silent, but hesitant. The works depicting "scenes" are about spatial structure. The pictures are exactly the scenes of the artist's daily life, and things closely related to him are immediately drawn into the paintings. Here, Fang Xianchen does not enjoy the personal interest of hand-painted paintings to depict the details of fixed scenes, but can find creations rooted in daily life. He creates a sense of alienation and tension from space. The surreal technique creates the uneasiness, suspense, metaphor and dreamlike instability of the picture. The work will give people an indescribable atmosphere. The world in the picture is separated from reality. What you see in front of you is a space that is close to reality, but the artist expresses a reality that is out of reality. There is no documentary in this space, but more imagination of time and deep direct vision. Fang Xianchen's works contain delicate metaphors as well as straightforward language, which uses spiritual reflection to reflect and observe oneself, thereby finding a new self and a new identity.
