Born in Liling, Hunan in 1993, Shi Zhiwei graduated from the Oil Painting Department of Sichuan Fine Arts Institute with a bachelor's and a master's degree. His artistic practice focuses on hard-edge painting. Through this style, Shi Zhiwei explores the diversity of scene expression and integrates personal emotions and social cognition into the picture. The radical and classic construction of horizontal and vertical lines, with its simple, sharp and cold style, extends various forms in painting.
