1961年出生在山西，1982年考入山西大学艺术系。毕业后任某杂志社美术编辑。1993年离职下海，开始经营「晋美花店」，在物质上、精神上支持家人的艺术追求。晋美在她五十岁时重新拾起画笔。
Born in Shanxi in 1961, she was admitted to the Art Department of Shanxi University in 1982. After graduation, she worked as an art editor for a magazine. In 1993, she resigned and started to run "Jinmei Flower Shop" to support her family's artistic pursuits materially and spiritually. Jinmei picked up the brush again when she was 50 years old.
