1983年生于中国黑龙江，达斡尔族，现工作生活于上海。宋兮的艺术创作建立在社会学界面的有关身份、图像与日常关系的思考，这里的社会学线索显然不是社会性的广域扫描，而试图面对互联网世界与社会现实，建立一种纵向的深耕式的现时考古。在微观社会学层面上，深度探讨了信息社会自我、个体与他者不断被转化链接的关系网络以及日常政治与微观身份潜在的权力结构。试图用个体身份在公共领域中建立标准社会美学与诗意的关系，探索生命形态的意志与边界。
Born in Heilongjiang, China in 1983, he is a member of the Daur ethnic group and currently works and lives in Shanghai. Song Xi's artistic creation is based on the thinking about the relationship between identity, image and daily life at the sociological interface. The sociological clues here are obviously not a wide-area social scan, but an attempt to face the Internet world and social reality and establish a vertical and deep-rooted current archaeology. At the micro-sociological level, it deeply explores the relationship network of the self, the individual and the other in the information society, and the potential power structure of daily politics and micro-identity. It attempts to use individual identity to establish a standard social aesthetic and poetic relationship in the public domain, and explore the will and boundaries of life forms.
