1985年出生于山东日照，2008年毕业于中央美术学院，目前生活工作于上海。郑皓中的绘画与他的艺术实践中的小说以及即兴音乐相辅相成，他的绘画作品里包含从原生绘画到绘画历史中可见的各个要素，技法如同音符组成他表达个人要义的乐句。而串联起这些乐句的，是画家对熟悉的朋友，室内长期为伴的物件，还有对视野内与之共情的景观的反复描述。它们被拆解、再造、融合，一同构建出画家的向外表达。在大多数时候，留白作为他绘画的起点，是作品时间历程的佐证。
郑皓中曾获得2014年约翰莫尔绘画比赛（中国）大奖，获奖作品展出于英国利物浦国家美术馆，并巡展于北京，上海，澳门等地。2016年BANK 画廊首次个展后，同年的夏天，由约翰莫尔基金会支持在英国曼彻斯特CFCCA华人艺术中心举办个展；2018年于金杜艺术中心举办个展“郑皓中：日照朱家角”。他的作品被悉尼白兔博物馆、DSL基金会，美国Moegling基金会收藏，以及被重要的个人藏家管艺和Laforet等收藏。
郑皓中曾以“李察”为笔名发表小说，是Dolphy Kick Bebop乐队成员，并于2023年加入上海自由艺术大乐团。
Born in 1985 in Rizhao, Shandong, graduated from the Central Academy of Fine Arts in 2008, and currently lives and works in Shanghai. Zheng Haozhong's painting complements his literary works and improvisational music in his artistic practice. His paintings encompass various elements, from primal painting to those found in the history of art, with techniques akin to musical notes composing his personal narratives. What connects these narratives are the artist's recurrent descriptions of familiar friends, objects that have been part of his indoor environment for a long time, and landscapes that evoke empathy within his vision. They are dismantled, reconstructed, and fused together to construct the artist's outward expressions. Most of the time, the blank spaces serve as the starting point for his paintings, bearing witness to the passage of time within his works.
Zheng Haozhong was awarded the Grand Prize in the 2014 John Moores Painting Prize (China), and the winning work has been toured from the National Museums Liverpool in the UK to Beijing, Shanghai, Macau, and other places. Following his first solo exhibition at BANK/MABSOCIETY in Shanghai in 2016, he then held a solo exhibition at the Centre for Chinese Contemporary Art (CFCCA) in Manchester, UK, in the same year with support from the John Moores Foundation. In 2018, he presented a solo exhibition at the KWM Art Center in Beijing. His works are in the public collections of White Rabbit Museum in Sydney, DSL Foundation, the Moegling Foundation in the United States, and also acquired by significant private collectors like Guan Yi and Laforet.
Zheng Haozhong has authored novels online under the pseudonym "Li Cha.” He is a member of the Dolphy Kick Bebop band and joined the Shanghai Free Art Big Band in 2023.
