Born in Côte d'Ivoire in 1983, lives and works in Abidjan, Côte d'Ivoire.
Souleymane has loved painting since he was a child. As a teenager, he often wandered through museums, galleries and exhibition halls in Abidjan, became friends with artists, and began to get involved in the art field. In the early 2000s, Souleymane began to study and practice artistic creation, painting in the studio with other artists. He freed himself from the creation of classical traditions, used bright, contrasting colors and different techniques to compose, and chose the city life around him as a source of inspiration. Souleymane has held exhibitions in Abidjan, Dakar, Marrakech, Switzerland, London, Paris and Washington, DC, USA. His works are collected by King Mohammed V of Morocco.
