1987年生于长沙，2009年毕业于同济大学，获得艺术设计学士学位，2012年毕业于耶鲁大学艺术学院，获得平面设计硕士学位。现于伦敦皇家艺术学院就读设计工程博士。
很多艺术家以加密式的方式进行表达，将他们捕捉到的现象或思考视觉化地包裹在层层语法和艺术语言当中，而李维伊通常采用解密式的祛魅的方式，她更倾向于一站式的明确表达，但是仔细观察她的思维路径时不难发现，李维伊的表达当中其实经常将各个文化领域平行，充分平衡他们之间的相互作用，艺术史从来没有被独立的看待，因此她的作品虽然看似直接了当，但是却能挑起认知和审美之间的感性冲突，责疑和重建已有的感性联系，激发出一种不常见的审美观看体验。
Born in Changsha in 1987, graduated from Tongji University with a bachelor's degree in art design in 2009, and graduated from Yale University School of Art with a master's degree in graphic design in 2012. Currently studying for a doctorate in design engineering at the Royal College of Art in London.
While many artists express themselves in a cryptic manner, visually wrapping the phenomena or reflections they capture in layers of grammar and artistic language, Li Weiyi usually adopts a decrypted and demystifying approach, preferring a clear one-stop expression. While looking closely at her path of thought it is easy to see that Li Weiyi’s expression often draws parallels between various cultural fields, fully balancing their Art history is never seen in isolation, and same as her work, although seemingly straightforward, provokes a perceptual conflict between the cognitive and the aesthetic, questioning and reconstructing existing perceptual connections and stimulating an uncommon aesthetic viewing experience.
