胡晴雯 Hu Ching Wen

1999年生于台湾高雄凤山,国立台北艺术大学美术学系硕士班在学中,主要以东方媒材创作当代面貌的绘画作品。

她的创作脉络源自于生活中光影流变、时间流动的观察。日常生活中光往往随着时间推移而产生变化,像是清晨的微光、中午强烈浓厚的光影,又或是傍晚的magic hour。因此,她尝试捕捉光影的各种状态,同时保留下时间经过的温润痕迹、纹理作为自身的创作灵感。

她透过胶彩、银箔作为主要的创作媒材。瞬息万变的光影诱发艺术家创作时的感性,因此藉由「银箔」展现出光影诗意的一面。银箔是一个特殊的媒材,而与众不同的是,使用银箔并非因为它闪耀、高贵的特质,而是胡晴雯对于烧箔、银箔氧化、变质所产生不可预期的质感深深着迷。在她的创作中,银箔变化产生的焦褐、沉淀痕迹呼应了生活中光影的流动,因此银箔在作品中不再是精美的装饰物,更成为一种精神象征。

她的绘画作品不限于平面的呈现,而延伸到作品摆放的场域中。将作品放至白盒子中对她而言并不是最完整的,若将其摆放至光影洒落、特殊打光的空间中,光影与作品相互呼应带来更具层次的展现。


Born in Fengshan, Kaohsiung, Taiwan in 1999, she is currently studying for a master's degree in the Department of Fine Arts at the National Taipei University of the Arts. She mainly uses oriental media to create contemporary paintings.

Her creative veins are derived from the observation of the flow of light and shadow in life and the flow of time. In daily life, light often changes over time, such as the glimmer in the early morning, the strong and thick light and shadow at noon, or the magic hour in the evening. Therefore, she tries to capture the various states of light and shadow, while retaining the warm traces and textures of the passage of time as her own creative inspiration.

She uses gouache and silver foil as the main creative media. The ever-changing light and shadow induce the artist's sensibility when creating, so the poetic side of light and shadow is shown through "silver foil". Silver foil is a special medium, and what is different is that the use of silver foil is not because of its shining and noble characteristics, but she is deeply fascinated by the unexpected texture produced by burning foil, oxidation and deterioration of silver foil. In her creations, the burnt brown and sedimentation marks produced by the changes in silver foil echo the flow of light and shadow in life, so silver foil is no longer a delicate decoration in the works, but a spiritual symbol.

Her paintings are not limited to the presentation of the plane, but extend to the field where the works are placed. Putting the works in a white box is not the most complete for her. If it is placed in a space with light and shadow, and special lighting, the light and shadow echo each other with the works to bring a more layered display.
