陈川端 Chen Chuanduan

1994年生于福建,本科毕业于中国地质大学,北京师范大学比较教育学硕士,2018年前往美国康奈尔大学 Civic Ecology Lab 进行公民生态学研习。他以摄影与制图作为媒介,关注人与自然的联结与现代生活里的呼告,对自然科学与超自然现象着迷,尤其偏爱虚构的事物。现工作生活于上海。

出版摄影书《Restrained Orders》、《Belly of The Giant Serpent》、《Restorative Topophilia》,并入选“TOP20·2019 中国当代摄影新锐”、获“2024 三影堂摄影奖(TSPA)大奖”;曾举办个展「旷野呼告」、「这片土地使我痊愈」、「克制秩序」、「无根据颂」等。


Born in Fujian in 1994, he graduated from China University of Geosciences with a bachelor's degree and from Beijing Normal University with a master's degree in comparative education. In 2018, he went to the Civic Ecology Lab at Cornell University in the United States to study civic ecology. He utilizing photography and charting as his mediums, focuses on the connection between humans and nature, as well as the calls within modern life. He is fascinated by both natural science and supernatural phenomena, with a particular penchant for the imaginary and fictional elements. Currently works and lives in Shanghai.

He has independently published photography books titled “Restrained Orders”, “Belly of The Giant Serpent”, and “Restorative Topophilia”. Chen Chuanduan’s work was recognized among the “TOP20·2019 Emerging Contemporary Chinese Photographers.” He has also won the "2024 Three Shadows Photography Award (TSPA)”. Moreover, he has held solo exhibitions, including 'Voice in the Wilderness,' 'Rootless Hymn,' 'This Land Heals Me,' and 'Restrained Orders.'
