1991年出生于山西太原，2016年于伦敦大学学院斯莱德纯艺术学院雕系获硕士学位。目前作为独立艺术家主要工作于上海。
王玉钰的创作实践持续围绕身体与物体“运动”的阈限状态展开。她相信通过身体感受去阐述日常生活经验的真实性与重要性。她感兴趣于如何将身体体验经不同媒介（图像，材料，文字，行为，声音等）的处理，去讨论个体与当代生活景观的关系。她近期的实践关注那些存在于城市，自然，影视场景中的“无名”人造景观，以及身体如何参与到关于特定场域的叙事编织的可能性。
Born in 1991 in Taiyuan, Shanxi, she graduated from the MFA Sculpture Department of Slade School of Fine Art in 2016. Currently, she works as an independent artist based in Shanghai.
Yuyu’s practice revolves around the liminality of “movement” of body and objects. She believes that the authenticity of everyday life can be expounded through somatic experiences. Her work explores how the sensual and physical level of experiences could be transformed through different methods (image, material, text, performance, sound, etc.) to discuss the relationship between the individual and the contemporary landscape of social life. Her recent practice is focused on the “nameless” manmade fields in urban and natural environments as well as cinematic contexts, and how the body could participate in the creation of narratives in such contexts.
