1975年生于浙江开化。2000年毕业于中国美院油画系，获学士学位；2003年毕业于中国美院油画系，获硕士学位，并留校任教；2008年毕业于中国美院油画系，获博士学位。现为中国美术学院教授、博导，中国美术学院美术馆馆长。
主要从事绘画创作、研究与策展。以“光影·山水”为母题，将西方油画语言与中国艺术精神相结合，探索中国意象油画和当代艺术的意象表达，并策划了系列绘画展览，“宋韵今辉”艺术特展总策展人、“大道无极——赵无极百年回顾特展”策展人。
Born in Kaihua, Zhejiang Province in 1975. He graduated from the Department of Oil Painting of China Academy of Fine Arts with a bachelor‘s degree in 2000, a master's degree in 2003 and a doctorate degree in 2008. He is currently a professor and doctoral supervisor of the China Academy of Art, and the director of the Art Museum of China Academy of Art.
He is mainly engaged in painting creation, research and curating. Taking “Light and Shadow · Landscape” as the motif, combining Western oil painting language with Chinese art spirit, exploring the image expression of Chinese image oil painting and contemporary art, and curating a series of painting exhibitions. He is the chief curator of ”The Brilliance of Song Dynasty in Modern Times" art exhibition, and curator of "The Way is Infinite - CentennialRetrospective Centennial of Zao Wou-Ki".
