职业艺术家、策展人、艺术自媒体人，毕业于伦敦艺术大学切尔西艺术学院 Fine Art 专业，从事绘画和当代艺术装置，目前工作生活于杭州和伦敦。
周宇越的创作源于他在日常里的自我感知，从不确定的事件中汲取灵感。绘画主要以非日常的情境表现日常之中的精神与情绪感知，涉及社会群体和日常生活中个人身份和性别认知的存在和感知。梦境、记忆与自画像是围绕其创作的母题。画中日常物作为多重隐喻。他运用绘画、雕塑等多种艺术形式来描绘家庭和社会环境所体现的对“自我”的逐步追寻。
受 Judith Butler“性别操演论”的启发，周宇越将流动的性别和随之交错的情绪感受带入画面中。性别流动下的另一个“自我”，是画面中经常出现的东方形象。ta 是在视觉上被模糊了性别的存在，是自我身份认知冲突与交融的象征，同时也成为情绪的具象化表现。”
A professional artist, curator, and art self-media person. He graduated from Fine Art at Chelsea College of Art, University of the Arts London. He is engaged in painting and contemporary art installations. He currently works and lives in Hangzhou and London.
Zhou Yuyue's creations originate from his daily self-perception and draw inspiration from uncertain events. Paintings mainly express daily mental and emotional perceptions in non-daily situations, involving the existence and perception of personal identity and gender cognition in social groups and daily life. Dreams, memories and self-portraits are the themes surrounding his creation. Everyday objects in the painting serve as multiple metaphors. He uses various art forms such as painting and sculpture to depict the gradual pursuit of "self" reflected in family and social environment.
Inspired by Judith Butler's "Gender Performance Theory", Zhou Yuyue brings fluid gender and the accompanying intertwined emotional feelings into his paintings. The other "self" under gender fluidity is the oriental image that often appears in the painting. ta is an existence whose gender is visually blurred. It is a symbol of conflict and integration of self-identity, and it has also become a concrete expression of emotions. "
