1978年出生于北京，自小携带绘画才能，对数学抱有极大兴趣，2003年毕业于清华大学美术学院，现工作生活于北京。
王一凡的创作题材多样，媒介广泛；《怀念》系列是模仿小时候“写在黑板上”的惩罚，王一凡用幽默而轻松的口吻描述着与他过往的情感、冥想以及和秘密有关的故事，显示出了他的文字天赋。
王一凡对生活中的细节保持敏感、探索与反思，在DV作品《监视时间-王一凡的钟表》里，一个90年代中国普通家庭必备的石英钟成为主角。王一凡用一天的时间纪录了石英钟的状态，在漫长的镜头中，用作品拟定“真实时间”，不同时刻给闯入的观众带来不同感受。
Born in Beijing in 1978. He had a talent for drawing since he was a child and had a great interest in mathematics. He graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts of Tsinghua University in 2003 and now lives and works in Beijing.
Wang Yifan’s subjects are diverse and have a wide range of media. The "Remembrance" series imitates the punishment of "writing on the blackboard" when he was a child,which shows his talents for writing.
Wang Yifan is sensitive, exploring and reflecting on the details of life. In the DV work "Monitoring Time:Wang Yifan's Watches", a quartz clock necessary for ordinary Chinese families in the 90s becomes the protagonist. Wang Yifan recorded the state of the quartz clock in one day. In the long shot, he used his works to draw up the "real time", which brought different feelings to the intruded audience at different moments.
