2000年8⽉4⽇⽣于罗⻢尼亚，⽐斯特⾥亚（Bistrița），现⼯作和⽣活于罗⻢尼亚，克卢⽇-纳波卡（Cluj-Napoca）。2022年获得了威尼斯美术学院奖学⾦（Accademia di Belle Arti di Venezia），同年，她于罗⻢尼亚艺术与设计⼤学艺术学院获得学⼠学位，⽬前于同学院攻读艺术硕⼠学位。
作为⼀名艺术家，Catalina将⾃⼰描述为意义的追寻者。⼀切事物都以⾃我⽆法解释的⽅式与之对话，⽽她只是单纯地描绘荒诞，以及⽇常现象的⾃然发展过程。在其艺术创作中，探索存在的离奇性，尝试揭开外部世界的躯壳并找到其柔软⽽隐藏的核⼼是她的主题。作为内在的局外⼈，⽭盾是理解其视觉表达的主要关键之⼀，画⾯所有的⼈物都展示在⼀个悲剧性的讽刺场景中，⽽所有的静物则是⾃我欺骗的象征。
Born on August 4, 2000 in Bistrița, Romania, working & living in Cluj-Napoca, Romania.In 2022 she was awarded a scholarship to the Accademia di Belle Arti di Venezia, and in the same year she received her Bachelor's degree at the Faculty of Fine Arts of the University of Art and Design of Romania, where she is currently pursuing her Master's degree in Fine Arts at the same faculty.
In the process of creating, she always start from scratch. Every piece has its veryown way of appearing and becoming. Whilst at first it may seem that the subject wouldbe in a constant change, it is actually only the form that is shapeshifting. Throughout the practice she always tried to capture in separate images the same presence, theimpossible singularity of the concrete reality. This exercise of permanent sensorialawareness, leads in time to a vision of absurdity and transmateriality, because theexcessive act of grasping the Real will only push her further away.
自述 Statement：
As an artist I would describe myself as a meaning hunter. Everything speaks to me in ways I can’t explain, I’m only there to paint the absurdity and then again the natural course of everyday appearances. In my works I explore the uncanniness of being. I always seem to unwrap the exterior world, in order to find its soft and hidden core. Nothing is more fascinating to me than reality itself, so fugitive but yet so static, so obvious and so mysterious, as if it had an intuition of its own guiding our sense and perception. I feel safe in this liminal space, painting scenes of a possible life as an inside outsider. Contradiction is one of the main keys in understanding my vision, all my characters are displayed in a tragic irony scenario, and all the still lifes are a symbolic constellation of self-deception. I tend to look at life in a past-future tense creating images of a lost but still to come world.
