1998年生于湖南常德，2021年获得斯莱德美术学院艺术硕⼠学位，并于同年7⽉荣获学院的橄榄奖（The Olive Prize），2019年取得北京师范⼤学艺术学⼠学位。⽬前⼯作⽣活于湖南常德。
在龚紫薇的作品中，幽默是非常被看重的一个方面。在画了一段时间的卡通人物之后，她从抽象的形状本身中感受到了幽默，这些形状让她有一种触摸或挤压的冲动。出于对这些形状的身体感觉的好奇，她创作了一些作品来表现握住和触摸某些东⻄的身体欲望。龚紫薇一直在探索身体与物体和空间的关系。最近，她尝试将织物拼贴法与绘画相结合，表现人物与不同日常生活空间的互动。
Born in Changde, Hunan in 1998, she received a master's degree in art from the Slade School of Fine Arts in 2021, and won the academy's Olive Prize in July of the same year. In 2019, she obtained a master's degree in art from Beijing Normal University. Currently working and living in Changde, Hunan.
In Gong Ziwei's works, humor is a very important aspect. After drawing cartoon characters for a while, she found humor in the abstract shapes themselves, which gave her an urge to touch or squeeze. Curious about the physical sensations of these shapes, she created works that represent the physical desire to hold and touch something. Gong Ziwei has been exploring the relationship between the body, objects and space. Recently, she has tried to combine fabric collage with painting to express the interaction between characters and different daily life spaces.
