1986年生于内蒙古， 2010年于中央美术学院油画系获得学士学位，2014年于美国纽约亨特学院获得硕士学位。现生活工作在北京、上海。
他的作品有效结合多种视觉语言和艺术传统，精准把握光线、质地等画面的效果，克服表现与抽象间的差异，而深深地嵌入了 "绘画终结"后的时期。
Born in 1986 in Inner-Mongolia, China, Wei Xiaoguang gained a BFA from the Central Academy of Fine Art (CAFA) in Beijing in 2010 and an MFA from Hunter College in New York in 2014. Currently lives and works in Beijing and Shanghai.
Overcoming the distinction between representation and abstraction, Wei Xiaoguang’s work is deeply embedded in the post “Death of Painting” period. By carefully modulating the effects of light, textures and surfaces, his paintings effectively combine multiple visual languages and artistic traditions.
