一位基于水墨创作的艺术家，1972年出生于河南安阳，现居北京。1995年从中央美术学院国画系毕业后，曾在出版、电影和教育领域工作。
他的艺术实践立足于中国传统文人画、当代水墨艺术以及日常生活经验的交界点上，通过用毛笔写日记、画观察速写、加入根植于传统水墨媒介的观念艺术圈，持续对图像与文字进行着不断的艺术挖掘。
An ink-based artist living and working in Beijing. Born in 1972 in the city of Anyang, Henan Province, he graduated from the Chinese Painting Department at the Central Academy of Fine Arts in 1995. Tong has since worked in the fields of publishing, film, and teaching.
His practice is situated at the intersection of literati traditions, contemporary ink art, and the practice of everyday life; his work explores the relationship between text and image through calligraphic journaling, observational sketches, and participation in conceptual art circles rooted in traditional ink mediums and practices.
