1985年生于中国黑龙江，目前生活工作在北京，2008年于中国湖北美术学院新媒体系取得学士学位。
胡庆泰的作品多在讨论人与人以及现成品之间的关系，且质疑艺术家以及艺术的创造性，作品涉及到诸多现成艺术媒介，包括行为，录像，雕塑，绘画以及表演等。
Born in 1985 in Heilongjiang Province, China and currently based in Beijing. He received his BA degree from the New Media Department at China Hubei Academy of Fine Arts in 2008.
In his artworks, Hu mainly focuses on the relationships between human beings and objects, as well as those between human beings. His works put pressure on the notion of creativity that often clouds people’s understanding of artists and artworks. He works with a range of mediums, including performance, video, sculpture, and painting.
