1974年生于辽宁，1995年毕业于中央美术学院附中。1999年毕业于中央美术学院油画系，现工作生活于北京。
江芳关注作品视觉的张力，大面积单一色彩与小面积色彩的丰富堆砌相组合，产生出有力的推拉关系，颜色之间互相补充，互相冲突，每种色彩都会有它自身的表述，而对色彩的感知不同，牵扯出无穷的可能，画笔抽出层层叠叠的肌理，激发触摸的冲动，它看似尖锐，却触及柔软。江芳用她的作品证明了锋芒也是可以依托在柔软之上的。

Born in Liaoning in 1974, graduated from the High School Affiliated to the Central Academy of Fine Arts in 1995. Graduated from the Oil Painting Department of the Central Academy of Fine Arts in 1999 and currently works and lives in Beijing.
