1990年生于中国内蒙古，于2015年获得佛罗伦萨美术学院的纯艺学士学位，于2017 年获得米兰布雷拉艺术学院的纯艺硕士学位。现生活并工作于北京。
王宇琛创作形式包括绘画、设计、 影像以及场域特定装置。艺术家首要关注特定场域作品的生成过程，因此他的展陈往往将具有内在关系的作品并置， 并以作品集合的形式呈现。meltingwang是王宇琛的网络化身和创作代号，游走于虚拟和现实世界的虚空之间，在科技暴涨的大环境下持续关注人体本能感知力的变化。艺术家近期的创作通过建造景观的方式，探讨数字生活经验对思维方式、现实物质形态以及物质认知方式的影响。
Born in Inner Mongolia, China, he received his BFA from the Florence Academy of Fine Arts in 2015 and MFA from the Brera Academy of Fine Arts in Milanin 2017.The artist currently lives and works in Beijing.
Yuchen Wang works in painting, design, video, and site-specific and process-driven installation. Since 2015, Wang has worked under the cyber-avatar meltingwang, observing the essence of life in the internet age and the gulf between online and offline. His works are a playful mapping and an act of resistance against the same forces.
