1985年生于中国北京，2004年毕业于中央美术学院附中；2008年毕业于中央美术学院设计学院数码媒体工作室；2014年毕业于中央美术学院研究生院，获硕士学位；2017年任教于中央美术学院设计学院，工作、生活于北京；2019年任北京美术家协会版画艺术委员会委员，中央美术学院科技艺术研究院研究员。
他的创作源于对媒介环境中的人类经验、行为和想象的观察，常常以跳跃、重混的时空结构呈现表象与意义的分离过程，营造蒙太奇式的路途体验。张文超作品及项目涉及影像装置、数据生成电影、交互游戏与虚拟世界等基于新兴技术的艺术语言。
Born in Beijing, China in 1985, graduated from the High School Affiliated to the Central Academy of Fine Arts in 2004; graduated from the Digital Media Studio of the School of Design, Central Academy of Fine Arts in 2008; graduated from the Graduate School of the Central Academy of Fine Arts with a master's degree in 2014; taught at the Central Academy of Fine Arts in 2017 School of Design, works and lives in Beijing; in 2019, he served as a member of the Printmaking Art Committee of the Beijing Artists Association and a researcher at the Institute of Science and Technology and Art of the Central Academy of Fine Arts.
His creations originate from the observation of human experience, behavior and imagination in the media environment. He often uses a jumping and remixed space-time structure to present the separation process of appearance and meaning, creating a montage-like journey experience. Zhang Wenchao's works and projects involve artistic languages based on emerging technologies such as video installations, data-generated films, interactive games and virtual worlds.
