Born in 1979 in Shanxi, China, graduated from the Central Academy of Fine Arts in 2004 and now lives and works in Beijing, China.
Zhang Xuerui is one of the most active Chinese artists of our time, and her work has been widely recognized. Her recent paintings emphasize the search for the essence of color and space, while her installation series deeply expresses human emotions. Sherry Zhang's fabric readymade creations and her abstract paintings are in harmony with each other, and together they constitute her artistic practice.
