1957年1月出生于内蒙古呼和浩特，祖籍内蒙古兴安盟索伦，蒙古族，曾用名：朝革，现为中央美术学院教授。
Born in Hohhot, Inner Mongolia in January 1957, his ancestral home is Solon, Xing'an League, Inner Mongolia. He is of Mongolian ethnicity. His previous name was Chao Ge. He is now a professor at the Central Academy of Fine Arts.
