1985年出生于浙江绍兴，2007年毕业于西安美术学院雕塑系；2010年毕业于中央美术学院雕塑系，并获得硕士学位。现生活工作于杭州。

Born in Shaoxing, Zhejiang in 1985, he graduated from the Sculpture Department of Xi'an Academy of Fine Arts in 2007 and graduated from the Sculpture Department of the Central Academy of Fine Arts in 2010 with a master's degree. Currently lives and works in Hangzhou.
Cai Bo's painting practice theatrizes the representational nature of classic metaphysicism. Style-wise, the artist uses his own randomly crafted sculptures as subjects to fabricate absurdepic landscapes with the characteristics of tilt-shift macro photography. Such curious symbols with popular visual paradigms and the artist's reverence for classical art are stirred and hybridized into renderings that are sometimes meticulous and sometimes slack.
