1972年生于河南郑州，现工作生活于河南登封。
对王忠杰来说，绘画首先是某种能够战胜概念引力的东西。概念总是以其安全与舒适将人限定起来，而绘画就是试图逃离桎梏，是一场通往未知的实验。多年来，他在不断地拒绝概念、风格、体系，剔除故事、情节、情感叙述、解释。他在追求着不可知的，总在变动的，当下的鲜活感受以及其中潜藏的秩序。
Born in Zhengzhou, Henan in 1972, currently lives and works in Dengfeng, Henan.
For Wang Zhongjie, painting is first and foremost something that can overcome the gravity of concepts. Concepts always limit people with their safety and comfort, and painting is an attempt to escape from the shackles, an experiment leading to the unknown. Over the years, he has been constantly rejecting concepts, styles, and systems, eliminating stories, plots, emotional narratives, and explanations. He is pursuing the unknowable, ever-changing, and vivid feelings of the present and the order hidden in them.
